How suretiform checks its facts, and how to report an error
This page explains how suretiform checks the facts and figures on this site, and what happens when one of them is wrong. It is our methodology and corrections policy. We publish it because a site about money should show its working.
What we check, and against what
Every number on this site comes from a source that you can open yourself. We do not use figures we cannot point to.
- Company facts. The company name, number and registered office are checked against Companies House. The registry entry, not this page, is the record.
- Costs and limits. The £0 software price, the minimum deposit amounts and the 1% to 5% risk range come from the way the software and our service are set up. If they change, the page changes.
- Other providers. The comparison rows on the review page are taken from each provider's own website. Each row shows a source link and the date we read it. Where a provider does not publish a figure, we write that it is not published instead of guessing.
- Broker details. Each broker's licence is taken from the regulator's own register, and its retail loss rate from its own published risk warning, with a link and a date.
- Simulations. Charts, calculators and the order depth panel are illustrations. They are labelled as such, they are not live data and they are not predictions.
What a date on this site means
A date next to a figure is the day a person last read the source and found the figure there. It is not the day the source was written, and it does not mean the figure is still true today. Terms change, so check the source before you rely on anything. We show a review date on a page only once a person has recorded one.
What we do not do
- We do not publish results, profit screenshots, user numbers, awards or testimonials, because we cannot check them.
- We do not pay for, or trade on, reviews of ourselves. Our own review is published by our own team and says so.
- We do not edit a page quietly to hide a mistake that mattered. Significant corrections are noted below.
Where the limits are
We are a small software vendor and a marketing affiliate, paid by brokers. That is a conflict of interest, and it is the reason we write down how we check things. We are not an independent auditor, and nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice. Read the explanation of how we make money, then the review, and check what you can.
Corrections policy
If something on this site is wrong, out of date or unclear, we want to know. This is how it works.
- Tell us. Email [email protected]. Say which page, quote the sentence, say what you think is wrong and, if you can, send a link to the source.
- We acknowledge it. We reply within 48 business hours. A complaint about our service goes to [email protected] instead, and follows the complaints route on the contact page.
- We check the source. A person compares your report with the original source, not with our own page. We aim to finish this within 10 working days, and we tell you if it will take longer.
- We fix it or explain. If you are right, we correct the page. If we think the page is right, we tell you why and point to the source.
- We record it. When a correction changes what a page means, we add a dated line to the log below.
A correction never needs you to sign up for anything, and reporting a mistake does not put you on a list.
